Training & Professional Background

My professional training in nutrition and health coaching has taken place over the past decade, following a deliberate career change in my 30s.

This shift marked a move from corporate work into evidence-based health education and coaching, with a particular focus on plant-predominant nutrition, long-term behaviour change, and practical application in real life.

Formal qualifications

  • Professional Certificate in Health & Wellness Coaching – Wellness Coaching Australia (2023)
  • Certificate IV in Nutrition, including an elective in Sports Nutrition Coaching (2024)

Professional accreditation & CPD

I’m an HCANZA-accredited health coach, which requires adherence to professional standards and ongoing continuing professional development (CPD) each year.

Additional professional training

Alongside formal qualifications, I’ve completed additional nutrition-focused and lifestyle training to deepen my understanding of plant-predominant nutrition, brain health, and long-term behaviour change.

  • eCornell Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate – T. Colin Campbell (2016)
  • Moving Medicine Forward – Dr Michael Klaper (2021)
  • Wellness Forum Institute: Food Over Medicine Certification Course (2022)
  • PlantEd Academy: Plant-Based Sports & Exercise Nutrition Course (2024)
  • NEURO Coach Certification – Drs Dean & Ayesha Sherzai (2026)

Applied experience in health education

From 2022 to 2025, I worked at Doctors For Nutrition in a progression of roles, most recently as Projects Lead. During this time, I contributed to the development and delivery of plant-based nutrition courses and continuing professional development (CPD) education for medical and allied health professionals, as well as evidence-based education for the general public.

Professional memberships & affiliations

I maintain professional memberships with organisations that support evidence-based nutrition education and ongoing learning, including:

This combination of formal qualifications, professional accreditation, ongoing education, and applied experience shapes how I work today – grounded in evidence, practical in approach, and focused on long-term outcomes rather than quick fixes.
